~ Unlikely people & unimaginable blessings ~ ^v^

Your story might be nothing but a broken heart and a sad soul;
shattered hopes and deferred dreams.
Your life might be nothing but slopes and bends;
despair and death.
But,
God has plans for you,
plans that are bigger, better and greater than you could ever imagine;
plans that are beyond your wish lists and expectations.
* * *  * * *  * * *
Let go of your plans,
put away your agendas;
submit everything to God,
lay your life upon His shoulder,
and allow Him to ignite that spark within you!
God always makes miracles out of the insignificant, the weak, the fragile;
a wan smile, a little faith, a random act of benevolence,
and a lot of ordinary people!  :)

Little Ones To Him Belong.... :)
Jesus loves me, this I know;
for the bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
they are weak but He is strong.

A father said to his 5-year-old daughter,
"Honey, today you're going to ride a bike!"
The little girl furrowed her brows and said,
"But dad, I don't know how to ride a bike.....
what if I fell down?
 Or what if I broke my arm?"
"I promise, I won't let anything happen to you."
Dad's gentle voice reassured her.
He tweaked her nose lovingly and held her hand in his.
"Don't worry, sweetie! I'll hold on to you,
and catch you whenever you fall......I promise."

Jesus has made that promise, too.
So, whenever you're afraid: afraid of falling,
just call out to Jesus,
He'll catch you.  :)

You Are Beautiful! :)
To those who feel abandoned, unloved, rejected....alone;
to those who feel like a nobody, a misfit, a wretch....an outcast.
You are loved, and you are never alone.
God loves you for who you are.
He will never abandon you for any reason.
And you are a somebody: you are God's beloved child.
God created us and sent us His one and only son,
Jesus Christ,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have eternal life.
You are not an outcast, you were never one.
God will always welcome you into His kingdom,
you have always been a part of His body.
His abounding love has never ceased;
his unfailing mercy has never left.
God loves us,
and He wants you to know that,
"You, my dear child, are beautiful!"  :)

Our World In A Teacup....
Love in a teacup....
Tempest in a teacup....
Both are teacups....but each holds a different element.
One consists of love that often overflows, another is filled with hurricanes and storms....
The world we live in, is merely an infinitesimal globe orbiting in a teacup.
We can never be certain of what our world is holding, or what our world will hold.
But there is one thing I can be very certain of: God is holding us, ever so tightly; our entire world is in the palm of His hand.
 We are all in a teacup, and God is holding on to it....
and He has promised never to let go.

Blind....
There are times when we cannot see light,
and there are times we cannot see hope.
For we are blinded,
by darkness and sin....
greed and temptation....
pride and selfishness....
rage and fury....
But Jesus said he is the light of the world;
he is the lamp of our feet.
His Words, like a lit torch,
will guide us through many paths,
through many dangers;
through every toil,
and every snare.
The clutches of evil lurk in every shadow,
we shall not fear.
The claws of darkness loom across the valley,
we shall see light.
For Jesus is our redeemer,
our author of salvation,
our tower of refuge and strength;
our light!
Through Jesus,
we will no longer dwell in darkness,
we will no longer be blind....

A little something I call....true happiness! :)
True happiness is never found in one's deepest desires.
The happiest man on Earth would see nothing more than his own reflection in the waters.
For he is content with what he possesses;
neither does he ask for more,
nor does he desire to have more than he already has.
However,
the one who merely feeds on his earth-side longings
would never see his own reflection.
Instead,
he would watch....
as his unquenchable thirst for riches and gold slowly destroys his heart:
his heart of greed.
He would never find true happiness....
for true happiness comes from nothing made of gold or silver,
it only comes from God.  :)

A Prayer
Pray with all your heart, all your strength, and all your life.
Forgive us O' Father,
for we are sinful in your eyes.
Cleanse us from our sins,
 wash away our transgressions,
and blot out our iniquity....
For we are unworthy of your love O' Lord;
we are nothing,
merely specks of dust,
merely ashes from the brazier....
nothing more than a wild dandelion in a meadow.
Let us worship you O' Heavenly Father,
sing praises to your name,
for you, my Lord are worthy of all our praise;
for you, my Lord are a merciful God,
with a heart of truth and understanding.
And so,
may your love and grace be with us,
now and forevermore.
..............
In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.

Prayers bring hope to the despair,
give strength to the weak;
bring joy to the tearful,
and give power to the humble.

My Grandpa's Beloved Rose
~  A story of true love.....it all begins with a small red flower - a rose ~

Once upon a time, there lived a kind old man who loved nothing more than his garden. There were flowers of all sorts - daisies, peonies, daffodils, geraniums, bluebells, lilies, poppies, sunflowers, chrysanthemums and roses of every hue and kind. But what the old man loved the most was a rose, red with glowing joy and alluring beauty. Everyone in the neighborhood praised her; children loved playing around her, young men and women who walked by would gently stroke the edges of her petals with admiration, some even wrote her quatrains and choruses. Her life was perfect....a thorn, a fallen leaf, an escaped petal, a drop of morning dew - everything, flawless. However, perfection was never a wall of protection.......

........the rose, she was conquered by a nasty swarm of pests - a flower's worst enemy, a floral's grave of misery. The poor flower soon became a nest for those grotesque little monsters, her petals on which they chewed greedily every day were no longer the emblem of beauty. No one would look at her; children spat at the sight of her hideousness, young men and women who walked by would sneer and mock at her withered body, some even trampled over her. However, the old man's love for her never ceased. He gave her all his tender, love and care; he prayed day and night, hoping that someday she would be healed.

One rainy night, a lightning flashed from the sky and struck the old man's garden. Immediately, the old man shot off his bed, stumbled into the dark corridor, rushed down the stairs, ran out to his garden.....and to his greatest dismay, the bolt of lightning had left the rose in wisps of grey smoke, the grass around her scorched and charred. The old man wept, sobbed, cried......but he knew tears could never bring back one's life.

The End
* * *  * * *  * * *  * * *

My grandpa told me this story, not in remembrance of a wilted rose in his garden, but in remembrance of my grandma. He loved her in ways that none of us could have understood. The depth of the ocean would merely be an inch when measured to my grandpa's love for her, and the desert would merely be a grain of sand when compared to the unbreakable bond between them. They shared the same piece of happiness, and the same barrel of pain; the same strand of kindness, faith, hope and love.

And I, who had refused to believe in true love, believed it anyway. For I saw love.....love that was ever so true and pure, love that could only come from our God. My grandpa learnt to love unconditionally, unselfishly, humbly and patiently......but most of all, he learnt to give all the love he could have had for anyone to his one and only - my grandma.

Yes, she is in heaven now! In heaven, in a garden of roses, in eternity, with God.  :)

Love conquers all!

Darkness engulfs light; light, however, massacres darkness.....pierces through the hem of its garment, rips the fabric of vastness apart....and at last, masticates it into fine shreds of dark silk. Darkness devours light; light, however, drives out darkness.

The battle between the lords of darkness and the sovereigns of light......like the battle between the forces of hatred and the power of love. Hatred, like darkness, never once triumphant. Love, like light, conquers all!

Hatred burns down the bridges of love; love, however, builds a great wall of wisdom and understanding.....defends itself with shields of faith and forgiveness....and at last, turns the anger of mankind into the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Hatred hinders love; love, however, drives out hatred.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  ( 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 )
