Mayhem In The Jungle With.......Angry Birds!!!!! ~~~ v(Ow<)v
A game of birds without wings, talons and claws bounce with their round bellies and hop onto a catapult; the player then has to stretch the elastic rubber band to a perfect angle, aim for the target: the green pigs.....and let go! Off it goes, flying through the air and into the pigs' fortress, causing the entire structure to cave in and crash down....destroying all the pigs in a single blow. Rovio's creation - Angry Birds has become a global phenomenon. The simple story of a flock of birds whose eggs are stolen by grunting, thieving pigs has been turned into one of the world's most influential mobile game of the decade. Angry Birds is for people of all ages - grandpa, grandma, dad, mom, sister, brother, cousin. Anyone! Yes, even your grandpa can hum to the theme music and laugh along with you when the bird zooms through the air, hits a block of wood or a brick and knocks down the annoying green pigs.

The red bird doesn't possess any special strength or power, but it definitely kicks butt! And as for the giant red bird - 'Big Brother', it destroys anything that is in its way like a huge boulder tumbling downhill. A stunning but punishing attack....sometimes I really do feel sorry for pigs, being squashed and crushed and rolled over. Poor little things, aren't they? However, I do enjoy damaging their homes and hearing them go 'poof' into thin air....it's such a great comfort and satisfaction, from such a small game. And there you have it.....my guilty pleasure!

I particularly love the black one. Its round, bomb-like body; beautiful black coat, perky beak and antenna. It looks just like a bomb, and it works just like one, too! The black bird explodes and creates shockwaves that cause massive destruction to the pigs' reinforced roofs and fortified walls, resulting in a great massacre of the green hogs. That's why my cousin loves to call it 'The Ultimate Bomb Bird'! BOOM!!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!!

"Go yellow bird! Go! Go! Go!" screams my cousin, mimicking the way the bird is being shot into the air with an imaginary catapult. Speed is its essence: the Kamikaze bird rockets through the stratosphere at inhuman speed once the screen is tapped. It is capable of wiping out the entire foundation of the structure by merely ripping through a block of wood. It breaks through wooden hurdles with ease, like a pebble being thrown at a piece of paper. Despite the bird's vicious velocity, it doesn't do much damage on concrete platforms or even glass towers. The Kamikaze bird's greatest weakness is when being hurled at a glass brick or a stone altar. So remember to look out for them kids!

Split it blue guy! Split it! And there comes three of them! The blue Scattershot bird dissipates into three small projectiles when the screen is tapped. Always think of these little blue guys as bullets from a shotgun! These birdies may be small in size, but they sure are mighty little wonders!

Love it or hate it....the green Boomerang bird has become a hit among its fellow mates. It makes a turn, flies backwards, hits its target and causes everything to collapse - a boomerang! Trust me, with its deadly accuracy and destructive power, this green toucan can never be underestimated.

Last but not least, the 'Mother Of All Bombs'! The white maternal bird lays eggs....well, not ordinary chicken eggs that you have for breakfast everyday, but explosive eggs that send those green pigs and their construction blasting off into outer space! Okay, fine! Maybe I did exaggerate a little, but still.....the eggs are worth all my praise! And before I put an end to this paragraph, I'd like to give all of you an extra tip: get as low to your target as possible for maximum destruction. 'Splash!' goes the egg. 'Crash!' goes the pigs' home. 'Phieeeeuuttt!' goes the pigs!

Well, all thanks to Peter Vesterbacka, the creator of Angry Birds, the Finnish game producer of Rovio Mobile Ltd. and now......one of the most influential people in the world! My cousins and I have spent three days sketching, drawing, coloring, designing and creating new homes for the Angry Birds: a tree-house filled with colorful boomerangs for the Boomerang toucan, a chamber of dynamites for 'The Ultimate Bomb Bird', a spacious room with a large bed for 'Big Brother', a snow globe for the red bird, a dome with a cloning device for the tiny blue bird, a chicken coop for the egg-dropping bird and lastly.....a piece of blue sky for the speedy Kamikaze bird! Lo and behold......the Angry Birds have finally found where they truly belong - a place where they call home.

( P.S: I have a confession to make.....I'm completely, entirely, thoroughly and utterly obsessed with these cute little birdies! May all of you be birds of a feather, and eagles of a flock! ~~~ x3 )

It's time to get serious!!!!

I, a 15-year-old girl who could merely fry an egg and write a journal, has been assigned the most dreadful task imaginable - learn the art of sprint writing on the SAT! Writing an essay has never been a problem to me, but writing a SAT essay......now that's a challenge!

Squeezing literary, historical or other scholarly paradigms into an essay is no arduous task for any professional writer like Candace Bushnell or Lauren Weisberger, but for me.....well, what can I say? One word people......ARDUOUS!!! And to my greatest horror, instead of using common essay words like 'practical' and 'difference', I have to inject a variant form of words and drop a few 'pragmatic', 'inextricable' and 'dichotomy' into my writing?...........Gosh, this isn't a joke, is it? I don't even know what 'pragmatic' means! A little finesse and talent won't bolster my confidence this time. I'm literally at the edge of becoming a psychopath, and at the brink of.....death! And.....on top of everything, I would only have 25 minutes to read the question, generate a few ideas and examples, organize my thoughts and compose my essay without making any flagrant spelling mistake or grammatical gaffe. 25 minutes.....merely 25 minutes! 2 hours is perfect, 1 hour is reasonable, but 25 minutes is simply insane!

SAT! SAT! SAT!........the word shouts out to me every now and then, like a quivering note that jumps off a piano chord. I've never been fond of writing formal essays, especially those with mundane titles and boring instructions. I loath those! They're just like colorless rainbows, vacant moons and withered leaves, lifeless....frozen.....dead.

Despite the enormous barrel of reluctance, I somehow, have to strain my every last muscle and remaining nerve, strive to pursue my ostensible goal and reach my ultimate destination- Stanford. Though it may seem like a vague shadow or even a distant mirage, I still have to make it happen! Now, with the SAT guide book clasped in one hand, and my notebook in the other....it's time to get SERIOUS!!!!

Finally!!!! Freedom~~~ x333

Say goodbye to daunting history and dreadful geography test papers! Bid farewell to the cacophony of teachers grunting, test papers rustling in the undulating whispers of breeze, wooden chairs creaking and most of all.......the exam clock ticking in a most unbearable way as each second passed! Ta-ta to the devastating world of algebra, the bottomless ocean of numbers and equations, the mire of historical events and prestigious patriots! Well, that's the vast void I can finally escape from and now sitting on a wooden bench, having all the pleasure of devouring a huge slice of chocolate cake, gulping down the few remaining crumbs, and blogging of course!

Well, this is Jinx signing off....to bed!
Good night, sleep tight, and don't let the bed bugs bite!
